Facilitator: Karrie Dietz

Karrie Dietz is currently the Head of School at the Australian International School (AIS) in Singapore. Prior to AIS, she served as the founding Head of School at Stamford American School in Hong Kong, leading its development since the school’s opening. Karrie is committed to building communities focused on both academic and operational excellence. Karrie’s international journey has also also included experiences in Thailand, Bangladesh and Uzbekistan. Her career in education includes over thirty years of leadership and teaching, serving in day and boarding schools ranging from 120 to 2600 students. Karrie serves on boards for the East Asia Regional Council of Schools (EARCOS) and the Association for International School Heads (AISH), and she serves on Council of International Schools (CIS) accreditation visits. Her academic background includes a Master’s in Education degree from Hamline University, a Certificate of International School Leadership from the Principals’ Training Center (PTC), an Executive Certificate of Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Stanford University, an MBA Essentials Certificate from the London School of Economics, and she is a Columbia University fellowship recipient. Karrie’s other passions include long-distance bicycle tours with her husband and spending time with their two cats.
