Lauren Mehrbach has been an international school educator for more than 30 years. Currently she is the Middle School Principal at the American International School Vienna. She has worked as an education consultant, coaching school leaders, recruiting teachers and helping schools re-imagine their learning spaces and programs. Previously, she served as the Middle School Principal at Singapore American School, as Secondary School Principal at the American Cooperative School of Tunis, and High School Deputy Principal at Singapore American School. She taught high school and middle school for many years, and is passionate about middle school, efforts towards personalization, the power of learning spaces and interdisciplinary approaches. Lauren holds a Certificate of International School Leadership from the Principals' Training Center, a certificate in Social Emotional Leadership from Rutgers University, a LEAD certificate from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, an MA in Educational Leadership and a BA in Political Science and is a certified executive leadership coach.
