Facilitator: Arzu Özçetin
Born and raised in the USA, Arzu has an experience for almost 30 years as an English teacher, school principal and university lecturer in Istanbul. She is currently a leadership consultant and educational leadership programs director at Mind Academy, a consulting organization which she co-founded in 2014 which was soon followed by the founding of PTC Türkiye in 2017. She coordinates the Turkish PTC courses in Türkiye and also serves as a PTC facilitator.
Her main areas in consulting are: creating school vision - mission, developing and maintaining a sustainable school culture, professional development of school leaders, school improvement strategies and supporting schools to become learning organizations.
She also produces and delivers workshops on a variety of topics such as change management, teacher talent management- performance development, instructional leadership and positive education. In addition, she has experience in developing and transforming school systems and CIS accreditation. She has presented at many national education symposiums as a guest speaker and has carried out research and has publications on school vision and mission. Her passion is to do research, learn and share her learning with fellow educators with the ultimate end goal to improve student learning and wellbeing.
Arzu is a graduate of the PTC Essential Skills Program and also has a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration.
