PTC Certificates

The Principals Training Center offers two certificate programs for principals. Both certificates, which are endorsed by participating regional associations, confirm that the recipient has been trained for a leadership position in an international school.

Certificate of International School Leadership

The PTC's Certificate of International School Leadership is earned by completing “essential skills” courses – one from each of the following four categories (courses may be taken in any order, although Creating an Effective School is a broad overview course). You may also complete the certificate by taking two ‘half’ courses plus one from each of categories 1,2 and 3.

Category 1 - Take one of:

Category 2 - Take:

Category 3 - Take one of:

Category 4 - Take one of:

*Two half courses can be taken to replace one full course

All courses utilize simulations, case studies and other practical training strategies. PTC Courses hold a limit of six years before they would need to be re-taken towards completing a PTC certificate.

Certificate of Advanced International School Leadership

The PTC's Certificate of Advanced International School Leadership is earned upon completion of the above first certificate and completing any four credits from the above list.

Course Certificate of Completion

Participants in both online and in-person courses will receive an email after completion, giving them access to a digital micro-credential certificate to be printed, added to their LinkedIn profile, and/or included as evidence of professional growth in their TIE resume, one of the components of their free one-year subscription.
