Nicole’s teaching career began in Toronto, Canada at a unique school which focused on empowering young women to develop the confidence to become agents of social change. As a risk taker, she opted to move to Namibia and had the opportunity to teach MS/HS Humanities at the Windhoek International School where she began to learn what it meant to be an IB educator. She has since had the privilege of working in three IB World Schools as a teacher and leader. For the past seven years, Nicole has been the Secondary School Principal in Angola at the Luanda International School where she has been learning alongside a committed team of educators who rise to the challenges of the context and are driven by the notion that every child can and wants to learn. Nicole is looking forward to a sabbatical in 2018-2019 where she will explore the natural and cultural history of Southern and East Africa with her family. All that will be required is an inquiring mind, two tents and a Land Cruiser.
